| | Rainer Schuettler made a deep impression on me in Wimbledon. But there was grass, here's clay... It's sad, but I can't predict a winner, so I'll jump over this interesting match of tennis! If I had more courage, I'd have take Rainer, but...

| | 2 destroyer : Hernych a weaponless player? :-D :-D I saw him in 10-15 matches every year (for 4 years now), and his play stands on agressivness. He plays serve and volley style also on clay very oftenly. He is totally an agressive player and he is never waiting for oponents faults... |

| | surprised to see so much support for hernych... amongst other comparatives just look at the ranking gap.. 39 to 125... i know thats not always everything but take into account schuettler's form at wimbledon and it seems fairly one sided to me. sure change in surface, but i think people tend to turn negative straight away just because its a different surface.. just because its a different surface doesnt mean he's gonna lose.. even if its not his prefered surface he's gotta be pumped full of confidence at the moment. |

| | I'm riding Hernych here as well is what should be a pretty good battle. Schuettler has never excelled on clay and Hernych is in solid form, playing very well of late. Schuettler is a guy who I rode through Wimbledon and made me some nice coin, but I have to believe he is being overvalued by the public at this point, and therefor overpriced by the book as well. This line is practically beggin folks to back Schuettler. The value isn't great here, but the other stars align pretty well. I'm calling Hernych in 3 closely contested sets. Let's call it 6-4, 6-7, 6-3. |

| | Schuettler does lead the heads up 2-0 but both were on much quicker tracks so there is probably not too much to be taken from those. Hernych was in good form on the challenger circuit prior to the French open and took a set off the in form Schwank recently. The Czech was broken four times by Ramirez-Hidalgo in the last round but posted some good return stats forcing six breaks of his own. Schuettler was in good serving form against Beck in the last round 85% behind his first ball and 71% overall but did struggle a little on return and with his first serve percentage which was just 44%. Schuettler does have the better serve (if it is firing) but would certainly need to up that first serve percentage. This looks sure to be a baseline tussle and should come down to who commits fewer errors. |

| | Well this is a very tough tip and i am always hesitant to bet on plays who have just did very well in a tournament like Schuttler. Other than Wimbledon Schuttler hasnt had the best of years, his form has been shaky and has lost to some ordinary players. His is not a clay court player, a record of 5-6 in the past year shows that he doesnt play much on clay and doesnt win much on clay. A record of 45% overall in the career on clay is a diminishing stat and seeing that he has played alot of games in the challengers this year. When you look at Hernych you see positive stats with a 21-8, 72% record on clay in the past 12 months and a 66% record of wins overall on clay in his career, Clay is definetly his surface and it is where he feels most comfortable and plays his best tennis. A record of 73% wins in the challengers this year shows bright signs coming into this match. The only question mark i have it whether or not Schuttler still has the form from wimbledon and whether or not he can keep it going, still not sure whether it was a one hit wonder. But we will see here. The records here speak for Hernych but if Schuttler can continue his form you never know. |

| | Hibzo - I guess you could call SChuettler value after his exploits at Wimbledon that, you would think, signal a return to somewhere near his best. He was serving extremely well in that tournament and was surprisingly aggressive off the ground, but grass is so different to the slower and bouncier clay courts. He was lucky to get past countryman Andreas Beck first up, and on this surface recently has been very sketchy. Hernych, on the other hand, has been playing lots on the dirt and beat Dabul (an impressive winner over Bohli yesterday, Rosol (who took Gasquet to 3 last week) before taking the young talent Schwank to 3 sets in Stuttgart. He is a weaponless player who relies on opponent errors but he has a decent serve and uses the court well with angles and good variations. The German has shown a dislike for opposing the consistent baseliners with losses to Jun, Ventura, Nieminen, Naso and Fognini, and given possible fatigue and letdown factors it wouldn't be the wisest of bets. I'll stick clear of even a tip. |
