Dutch crowd fav Raemon Sluiter has said he is super motivated to perform ahead of the Rotterdam qualifying after being denied a wildcard for his home event.
Tournament organisers chose higher ranked Dutch pair de Bakker and Haase ahead of the veteran, with the third going to Soderling who had not originally made direct entry.
"I am super motivated to start playing here, because I want nothing more than to qualify for my home tournament", said Sluiter who must get past the likes of Schuettler, Marchenko, Golubev and Bolelli in a qualifying list that is full of out-of-form or plod-along players (after Serra, Berrer and Llodra were granted acceptance into the main draw due to other players withdrawals)
