| | All I can say is that those Troicki backers need to stay on him coz this kid is GREAT. This match could have gone either side and I think Troiki's youth and inexperience atop Moya's patience and experience was a telling difference.
I will definitely have Troiki in my list as potential payout men on any surface over the next few years. |

| | I'll go for Troicki. I've been impressed of his playing the last couple of months AND I was very impressed of his battle with Rafael Nadal in the Aussie O. Carlos Moya is a good player, no doubt about that... But today I feel that "old" Carlos will be dethroned by the younger Serb.

| | Troiki first came to prominence when beating an 'exhausted' Djokovic at this tournament last year. Moya has a quite unbelievable record at this tournament having won it five times and having made at least the semis in five of his other eight appearances and it is 1999 when he last failed to make the semi final. It is widely accepted the Spaniard is in decline and his 3-6 record on the European clay this year certainly gives credence to this theory and he has only once passed the first hurdle in those events when he made the QF in Hamburg. He did win at Costa do Sauipe earlier in the year beating Almagro in the final and that form would surely be good enough to beat Troicki. The Serb still has a bit to do to adjust to this level although he served superbly in the first round dropping just six points on serve and amazingly still dropped his serve once despite those figures. Moya is a considerable step up in class than Vanek and although there have to be reservations about the Spaniards current form odds of 1.62 look acceptable. |

| | I will add to destroyer9's assessment and say that although Moya lost to other big servers in Querrey, Gulbis and Almagro, at that particular stage in the year, these 3 players were accelerating their credentials and were in blistering form and really would have beaten most players on their day. Even Sam Querrey on clay.
If you note, Gulbis went well in the French and Almagro ahd a stunning clay season. Querrey on the other hand has wavered but i think he will do well at the US Open.
I will go with Moya although a victory to Troiki won't surprise me especially since he's a Serb playing in Croatia and will get some support probably from the Croatians.
Also, Moya had some tuff losses in his past 2 matches which could have gone either way. |

| | Hi everyone. Like most people here, I've been burnt tonight by the Garcia Lopez inept, pathetic call it what you like display vs Hanescu.
Moving forward, as you may notice I'm not a big writer on this magnificent website by I'm on here daily about 15-20 times a day. Anyway.....today I'm going to stick my neck out and simply go with a gut feel of a pick. My tip is that Victor Troicki will beat Carlos Moya in todays match. I guess if you look at the stats of Moya on the clay surface and at this tournament they speak for themselve. However, I just think that Troicki will blast his way past an ageing and sometimes inconsisent Moya.
Let me preface by saying, as an Australian, I saw Troicki play first hand against Nadal at the Australian Open in the first round this year. Being very close to the action also, I saw first hand how powerful his serve was. Nadal had to use all his experience to get over him. I distinctly remeber the centre court crowd in exasperation with Troiki sending down ace after ace - 14 in total, but also being able to rally with the great one. In the end, the match was won by Nadal 7-6 7-5 6-1.
Well so what!!!!! you might all be saying. The match was on hard court and was played some 6 months ago. I guess my gut feeling is saying that I believe Troicki to be on the up and Moya now starting to come down from his lofty heights from the past.
I must admit I did not see Troiki's win over Vanek in the 1st round here, but a 6-3 6-1 victory seems pretty impressive. Moya on the other hand has received a bye and is straight into the 2nd round. These two have never met before so I wonder also how much in tempo Moya will be facing Troiki's blistering serve.
Troiki's stats on clay for the past 12 months are 17 wins 8 losses. Moya's are 15 wins 10 losses.
Look, as said earlier, I'm just going on a gut feel but I think Troicki is a serious chance today.
Good luck to everyone if you decide to follow this tip.

| | darkstone, 2.37? Surely, that is a typo. I am showing 1.53 at the moment at Betway. I've been following line movements all night and Moya never even approached that number. |

| | 2.60 represents fantastic value for Troicki who is a splendid talent and easily disposed of Vanek in round one. I feel Moya has little motivation these days. What of great magnitude can he achieve? Troicki has all the aspiration and the game to match. |

| | Going to stay away from this one with Moya's inconsistency and his past winnings here. Troicki is palying good tennis but you never know if Moya is going to play some tennis. |
