| | This should make the Brits get at least one player into the Second Round. Pathetic really given they hold Wimbledon and end up bestowing the prestige to foreign players. More money and infrastructure needs to be put into the system to get and keep young players interested. No wonder the Aussies always belt ya in everything as much as I hate to say it |

| | These two players met twice, Golubev has a 2-0 hth. In 2006, the veteran Italian posted solid Challenger results (24-15 record) to finish with a career-best year-end ATP Ranking. Qualified four times into main draw of ATP level tournament and played some solid tennis. On the other side, the 10 years younger Russian is still a hot prospect for the future. Opposite to Galvani, he is obviously not feeling good on clay courts due to a negative record (16-25), but played some extraordinary matches on carpet with winning a hard challenger in Heilbronn earlier this year, defeating some good players such as Constantinos Economidis, Florian Mayer, Rik de Voest, Andreas Beck in the semis and Philipp Petzschner in the finals. His grass game remains a mistery however. Both at the pretty much similar odds, but at chances, i prefer Andrey with ease |
