| | Vasselin has had a torrid time of it on the clay courts in the challengers winning just 33% of his games. Now can yaou trust this with playing some ordinay players in the challengers. And Although Verkerk hasnt played much tennis this season, he will pumped up to recuse his career and get a chance to play in the atp again in front of his home crowd. Although i am sometimes hesitant to bet on players who havent played much tennis in the year and are out of form i feel confindent that Verkerk can dominate the game enough to wait for Roger to lose his serve and capitualte like he has done many times this year. |

| | Verkerk proved to be a very talented player of course, but the main problem was him taking tennis more as a hobby his whole youth, because coming out of a comfortable background, it was not really a necessity for Verkerk to make a living out of tennis. His booming serves and big backhands are still remembered by some of us, even though he is very unlikely to show that kind of level of tennis again. But still, i have to disagree with destroyer and say that Verkerk should win this match especially playing home, and also winning this tournament surprisingly in 2004, when supposingly out of shape. Verkerk with confidence for me.... |
