In some miscellaneous tennis news, 574th ranked German Sarah Gronert has been cleared to play on the tour by a WTA tour medical delegate who states that despite Gronert being born with both female and male genitalia, she satisfactory meets all requirements to compete in the women's game. She is biologically a woman, and has never undergone any sort of sex change. She has been the subject of cruel taunts on the ITF circuit, so it is good to see her fighting through out and hopefully she can enjoy some deserved success. One thing to note is that apparently Gronert has the biggest serve going around (some may say it's no surprise) - after a win in Israel, the losing opponent's coach was quoted as saying; "There is no girl who can hit serves like that, not even Venus Williams,"
