Petra Kvitova gives up more reasons (other than her poor record) of why it's best to take extreme care when betting on her in the US. Kvitova: “I don’t really like to play in America that part of the tour is not good for me because of my asthma and problems breathing with the humidity.” (paraphrased)

World No.2 Petra Kvitova has pulled out of the February 13-19 Qatar Open because of a painful right achilles tendon.
``I've had a tough start to the year and I must rest up and recover properly,'' the 21-year-old Czech player told Dnes. A hectic January saw Kvitova win the Hopman Cup in Perth with compatriot Tomas Berdych, make the semi-finals in Sydney and the Australian Open before helping the Czech Republic into the semi-finals of the Fed Cup World Group. After her 1st round win at ITF Prague yesterday, Kvitova admitted she is playing with painkillers since start of Madrid (hip & back injury). She doesn't sound like someone who is going to win a small tournament at all costs and added that probably will skip next week's Brussels Open. She will face Baltacha (horrible claycourter) in R2 or Johanansson/Martic in R3.

Vera Zvonareva (RUS) d. Petra Kvitova (CZE) 6-2 6-4
Kvitova played like a POTATOe.......she was totally uninterested in the match for a set and a half......she then played a couple of okay games but the match was done and dusted! Kvitova played without any "idea" or "strategy" OR "enthusiasm" .......her trainer and manager need to go. It was as if she "tanked". TIP - Don't bet $$$ on her she's clueless at present.
