| | Immediately after her win, Sharapova retired from the tournament on the back of advice from medico's who told her to get some more diagnosis on her injured right shoulder. Sugiyama is awarded the walkover. |

| | gwyer, sharapova the most beautiful woman in the world? Now that's bad handicapping!:). Negative 100 aces for that one buddy. Sharapova....good from far, but far from good and I can think of 500 girls hotter than her. She also happens to be incredibly over-rated. |
