I think we should look out for this girl next season. She is 23 years old now what is great years in women tennis. She starts to take things seriously and she was working really hard in last few weeks; 4 weeks in Germany

Goerges after losing to Stephens in Carlsbad: "If you saw me play last week, it's not so frustrating. It's been a big improvement. I am trying to play my game and I am going for it the whole match. Obviously, it is not working out right now, but it's the right way to come back."

Yesterday, Julia practised with Safarova.

Today:
"had a good practice in the morning with my doubspartner maria(kirilenko)and some fitness.my second practice got stuck of the rain..."

Tomorrow:

I'm not too pleased with the rain interrupting her much needed practice sessions on grass, but hopefully she will be able to get a good session with Li Na tomorrow. That should benefit her considerably.

Julia Goerges, who got past Sabine Lisicki in an all-German quarterfinal, 64 64. Goerges is through to her first Premier-level semifinal, and she is also the first German to reach the semifinals here since Anke Huber did so in 1999 - Huber is the Co-Tournament Director here too.

"Sabine is on the right path after her injury, but I was able to play my own game and really concentrated on my serve. It worked," Goerges said. "It's deinitely a good feeling to have this kind of success in front of such a fantastic crowd."
