| | Thanks Sammy. Good luck on your next one...another Russian awaits.
I should point out that Anastasia Rodionova is now an Australian citizen so she should be (AUS) from now on. |

| | I will side with Stosur on this surface. I like Rodionova for alot of reasons but this girl just cannot win and has seems to be battling with her serve. Does put a good fight from hstory but never appears to be in a match at any stage |

| | Pin has been up and down like a rollercoaster all year, and is agani on a losing streak after suffering a disappointing 4th straight loss at the French Open to compatriot Johansson. The tardy Frenchwoman has an appauling 3-7 record on the grass where she is extremely uncomfortable mainly due to the fact that she has a very weak serve, can't volley and has very little power from the back of the court. Rodionova, though not at home on this surface either, has matched it with Stosur, Loit, Bammer and Shvedova but like her opponent is in awful form. She was belted by big-time veteran Ruano Pascual in Rome, gave up a set lead when she lost to very lowly ranked Vierin in Istanbul, then was bagelled in a set and lost in 3 to non-claycourter Peng at the French. The Russian is a steady baseliner with some nice groundstrokes, and isn't too bad at the net and will be looking to get in as much as possible to pour the pressure on Pin who gets a bit rushed from the approachers. There are much better matches to bet on, and this one is likely to be an error-filled contest, but I am sticking to my theory to back against Camille on the grass and will therefore take Anastasia hesitantly. |
