This was not the first time Alise has blown up like this....(pretty sure was match points ans lead as well)....the memory of the match has been bugging me last few days and cannot remember the opponent...!! anybody have ideas...??

Cornet created records of sorts yesterday against Sevastova, she blew 9 match points before losing.

The open era record for match points saved in ATP is 11 back in Rome, 1976, by Panntta (v Warwick), but for the women the most recorded for WTA was reportedly by Venus Williams and Chanda Rubin who each saved 8 (Venus vs Capriati in 2004 Key Biscayne final, Rubin vs Choker Novotna in 95 French Open).

Alize Cornet says she is considering working with a sports psychologist to break out of the slump that has seen her drop to No. 65 from No. 11 a year ago.

"I've been asked about the subject of a mental trainer," she told French press after a first-round loss at the Paris Indoors.
"I'll think about it. It's a good oppotunity for me to learn something else. Why not?"

The 20-year-old Frenchwoman freely admits to suffering a crisis of confidence but is trying to remain positive.
"For me, It's not a downward spiral. Right now, the work isn't paying off. It's not always easy... you have to persevere. As Amelie [Mauresmo] said to me recently, perseverance is the key."

I have watched Cornet on several occasions play around the world and this girl is weak mentally and emotionally which underates her ability.

She acts like a stroppy spoilt brat and i wonder whether she was injured in the match against De Los Rios as her service game was poor throughout. I have seen Cornet crying during the final against jancovic which shows how piss weak she is in the head.

Not Warrioress class at all and when the going gets tough, make way coz Alize is running for the door.

I did not bet on Set's, I know how crazy that Is. I went for Alize for the match on Betfair. The retirement policy is just when it's on the first set. Betfair doesn't have that policy though, I think.
