I like Igor Andreev's way of playing. He made great in the Swiss Open. There will be no problems at all for Igor here… He’ll defeat Daniel Gimeno-Traver!

Igor Andreev (RUS) d. Daniel Gimeno-Traver (ESP) 6-2 7-6(3) at Umag ATP (CRO) - Clay, Round of 16 <<
Gimeno-Traver has had an excellent year on the dirt but that seemed to have tailed off a little in recent weeks but the Spaniard got back on the winning trail with a comprehensive beating of Patience in round one. He held his serve throughout in that match and forced four breaks winning 70% of his own service points and 50% on return. As thedestroyer has said his experience against this calibre of opponent is pretty limited and Andreev picked up his form enough last week (gstaad finalist) to suggest he has a good chance of featuring at the business end of this tournament. Andreev has the bigger serve and heavier groundies and that will probably mean Gimeno-Traver will have less time on the ball than he does against lesser rivals. Andreev did go out at the first hurdle when he last evntured here but that was four years ago, the bookmakers look to have the prices just about right but I would expect the heavier shots and more aggressive nature of Andreev to come out on top.

As stated, Andreev is one of the better claycourters in the business and he should take care of the youngster Gimeno-Traver here. Great serve, blistering forehand and great speed are the main parts of the Russian's game. Gimeno-Traver 5/2 Andreev 2/7.

This is a no think event and a no deal opponent. You need to be sticking with a guy like Andreev. He is good enuff to win upto 3-4 matches in any event.

So unless it goes to Quarters or Semis, then don't waste time thinking about it. This should be as EZ as can be.
