Hrbaty after his heartbreaking Bratislava challenger final loss to Germany's Michael Berrer;
"Before the tournament I never even imagined that I could get in Bratislava in the finals. It was a great game which had a level as if it was a 3rd round of a Grand Slam, and we both wanted it badly. I gave Berrer six winning balls in the tiebreaker", Hrbaty said.
"It was a different game than in Vienna, where the second and third sets were full of excellent serves. Despite losing, I am glad that I played this game. It's wonderful to play at home, fans have created a fantastic atmosphere for me" the veteran dubbed "Ironman" added.
Hrbaty will now head on vacation in French Polynesia and weigh up his playing future, where he has reportedly decided to give the entire clay season a miss in a bid to recapture some of the form that saw him a regular top 50 player some years ago now.
"I want to focus on the hardcourt tournaments, I hope it is the year that I will be back. I have belief".
Hrbaty will jump 21 places to 142 when the new rankings are released.
