| | If betting was about statistics and current form we'd all be millionaires, we need to look at possibilities beyond the ones recorded like info on mental and physical fatigue, injuries etc. The bottom line is Hanescu has very rarely won this amount of matches in a short space of time so fatigue is bound to be a factor. I watched the Andujar match yesterday and Hanescu did look mentally and physically tired and in my view its was reasonable to think that would continue on today.
The bottom line is it doesn't matter how tired Hanescu was, GGL lost because of his mental strength (had a fight with a girlfriend? ate a dodgy taco? or lost his lucky pants? you choose) for the fight, something no one can measure with stats or current form.

| | Understood, but can we stay away from supposition, e.g. he looked like he was limping or he looked knackered yesterday. It's all a bit hit and miss but I am sure we don't all have masses of time to analyse and cross reference each and every comment so lets stick to as close to fact as we can. |

| | To conclude this game id say the main reason some of us lost this bet (besides those who follow only other peoples opinions) is probably because we saw whan happened to Santoro right after his tournament win yesterday and we expected the same thing to happen to Hanescu without considering that Hanescu is a lot younger then Santoro and still has years to come on the tour. He won Gstaad last week without having a lucky draw because he was an underdog every single round and that obviously has to mean something. Hanescu is obviously a superior player to Garcia-Lopez and quite a few other players at the moment. That is the truth. Now dont expect him to just break down this week as well |

| | totally agree catscratch - if ur blindly following someone else's comments/recommendations etc then u only have urself to blame. yeh its good to get an idea of the general consensus. but ive gone against the trend plenty of times and had a win, dont follow if u dont know urself |

| | Odds were level for both players at the start, but because of heavy betting on GGL (I suppose) they got down to around 1.70 for the Spaniard. As for the insights, the game performance of GGL today had nothing in common with his solid game yesterday - the man served and returned worse than me today. However, bets are won and bets are lost.
