Finaly, Del Potro won't be able to play against David Ferrer and will be replaced by Acasuso. The abductor contracture that Del Potro suffered in the fourth set of his match against Feliciano Lopez is still bothering him and it found to be extremely risky to make him take the court.
Despite everything, as had been said, there is no muscle injury and was denied the rumors that Del Potro suffered a worse injury.

If Del Potro can't play and is replaced by Acasuso or Calleri, i think Ferrer has a sporting chance of winning.

 hello everybody!
del potro is exausted because of his first really good season, sometimes his good play forced him to play almost everyday around three week. however, the spaniard is very poor now, betting on him is irrational.

 Del Potro is out.
Acasuso will play tomorrow. See here on Clarin (Argentinean newspaper) - http://www.clarin.com/diario/2008/11/22/um/m-01808202.htm

Argentina needs to pray now.

The hope is Ferrer`s terrible moment.

Normaly, I would have said Del Potro will win without problems in straight set. Indeed, Ferrer isn't in good form and he hasn't got the level to beat Del Potro. But after what i saw in his last match and his injury !?, nothing is sure. If Del Potro hasn't found all his abilities (it's what i think), Ferrer is able to beat him, but not with a straight set victory.

Anyone who backs Del Potro here is slightly mental.

Ferrer is a non-entity on court these days, but if Del Potro turns up in the same state as he ended his match vs Lopez then even this version of Ferrer should be able to get enough balls back to get the result.

Ferrer is really a non-factor here, he's capable of losing to any fit player inside the top 100 at the moment, but probably not to a man who can't really move.

If the team captains were smart they'd change both players..... Ferrer for Verdasco or Granollers, and Del Potro for Acasuso (yes his physical condition is that bad) but I'm not sure either of them is that brave.

I think if Del Potro was a 100% physically he wouldn`t have any problems in beating Ferrer but he is clearly not in top shape. If Juan don`t wrap this up in 3 sets the Spaniard will win for me.Ferrer was picked for this match i believe with the Spaniards knowing Ferrer can run all day.Only option for me is bet in running, just to many factors

Dont think delpo will play this match. It depends todays double result and even argentina win it im not sure mancini will choose another one to play against crappy ferrer. I backed small one yesterday on spaniard looking for his lost spirit but i saw it will not come back at this momment. Doesnt matter who will play ferrer..he will be beaten (if he also plays...coz there are rumours changing him for sundays match). Everything is waiting for todays double match like a chess match

Ferrer was pummeled by Nalbandian whereas JMDP lost a clash with Lopez through injury. JMDP played better than Ferrer and I would expect him to win here easily.

Del Potro didnt look terrible but Lopez played great. Even with a broken leg i cant see him losing against a dried up Ferrer who doesnt even play on a level of a top 100 player lately.

theres no point starting del potro if your not sure his leg will last. the other two argy players havent got bad records against ferrer. i see theve put nalbandian in the doubles cause its a must win for them.

JMDP looked terrible. He might cost Argentina the cup.
