Despite a relatively weak performance against Llodra in the last round, I fully expect Murray to feature in the later stages of this tournament.

Melzer is certainly one of the more unorthodox players on tour and is the type of player that make life awkward for Murray, he took a set off the Brit at Indian wells earlier in the year and the Austrian is arguably in better form now. Murray has every shot at his disposal but he does have lulls in matches and could never be considered a safe option to win in straight sets. Melzer is more than capable of upping the ante and taking the initiative if Murray falls into one of his passive phases during the match. I'd expect Murray to come through eventually but expect the Brit to struggle at some point during the match.

I would definetely stay away from a 3-0-Murray-bet. The in-form Austrian will be able to steal at least one set while Murray will once again prove his mental instability. I say this could be a close affair but Andy will prevail in thrilling 5-setter.

For sure it won't be 3 sets match. In my opinion it will be A WAR lasting for 5 sets. Yesterday I missed all 5 tips so now it is a time to win all 5 ;) Anyway I count on a big suprise and upset for Murray's fans. I also placed a bet that this year Del Potro will win whole tournament - rate was 22 so not bad at all ;)

Absolutely no chance for Melzer, not a hope. Murray fought well to beat a fired up Michael Llodra in the last round despite some sloppy moments and swings in momentum. I like Melzer, pity he's going home. Murray isn't out of the running until he meets Federer. 3-0.

Llodra played very against Andy and could have made a lot more of his chances. Andy's return of serve was looking very good though and you felthe had the ability to raise his game when it mattered. All credit to llodra thought because he very nearly took it to the fifth set and who knows who would have won then. As for melzer you can't take much from his wins over Lopez, who is utterly useless and should take up knitting. Murray needs to up his first serve percentage and if he does then he can take this easily. Andy is a worrying guy to watch because he seems to make life difficult for himself, but I think he'll come through this. His biography is very good by the way if anyone is thinking of buying it.

Murray need going weel in this Open to prove that victory in Cincinatti will not a mistake.
In Beijing he going extremely disapointing losing in first round and now face a tennis players that can going fine and in the same time can going to terrible. The inconstant Melzer.
I believe in a Murray victory! He is full of Confidence.!

Murray will see this as one of the greatest opportunities he will ever have to get far in the USO, none of the favourites are dominant and he has some good wins this year. If he is to cement his place towards the top, he must make short work of Melzer. Melzer on the other hand has had some uplifting wins and will look to push the scotsman. I feel Murrays returning ability will see him through the 5 sets

My heart is with Jurgen Melzer, but I don't think he has the capacity to beat the Scotchman. Murray was playing bad yesterday, but he usually change his form overnight. But I refuse to bet on Andy Pandy, just because i can't stand that fusspot.

Murray won`t have any problems against Melzer.Andy played very well against Llodra apart from the 2nd set an his great form continued. When they last met Melzer caught Murray in the 1st set because the Scot made a slow start but once found his game it was very easy.Melzer aswell his in a purple patch at the minute but he will be sent packing home by inform Murray
