Talk about patting someone on their back for winning them money and not saying one dirty thing about him. Well i wouldn't either. Seen this kid play and he is a gun.

Take the $1.40 (2/5), and get ready for an all expenses paid nite out. Simon will be murdered with his boring and defensive tennis.

Simon is going to be a whole new kettle of fish to Del Potro's opponents in the preceding rounds.....he has the ability to get under Del Potro's skin and then stay there...on the back foot, Del Potro might be tempted to think about his enhanced women and sports cars capabilities following his win streak, to the detriment of the not so easy task of overcoming the talented Frenchman brimming with the type of self assurance that can only be generated through confidence building wins over the likes of Federer

I stay away from the Pothead this time. I dont know whats really positive to read out of matches against guys like Canas and Bellucci - who play like a mess for some time now and were no real challenge. But del Potro had some chokers esp. against Canas mixed up with an error rate (in both matches) a player with the form and playing style of Simon should punish a lot harder - cause he provokes and waits for that. Simon can also cope with big servers. So all in all i would stay away here or put a dime on Simon in a maybe very tough race.

Del Potro continues his improbable run this summer. Not because the Argentine doesn't have talent, but because it was really out of nowhere and very unexpected at this age.

Before Del Potro began to wreak havoc this summer at the US Open series it was Simon making some noise of his own taking down a title in Indianapolis and following that up in Canada with a defeat of Federer along with a semi final appearance.

Other than Roddick this is probably the first real test that JMDP has seen this summer. This is an interesting matchup but clearly Del Potro has all the tools to simply bury Simon, someone whos just happy getting the ball back in play. My only concern here is that JMDP could be feeling the ill effects of a pretty demanding summer although it was Simon who travelled all the way to Beijing. I absolutely love JMDP in this spot though and if he's played the way he has all summer long he should blast Simon in 4.

There is a lot of value with Simon and i would go for him except for the fact that Potty is in an unbelievable run and proved his mental fortitude by overcoming frustration and focusing on coming back against canas. I feel he will find it hard to penetrate the frenchman easily, but as long as he keeps up the workrate, he has the quality to win the games

I like Simon's style of play because he forces his opponent to hit a winnner rather than him committing an unforced error. His game plan will be simple against te big hitting Del Boy. He'll frustrate him and prevent him from getting into his flow. On paper Del Boy should win this because he's on fire but Simon is very gritty and will be patient. I like Simon's odds of 2.72.

One of the best games of third round, even of the Us open until now. The agressive young argentine against the defensive french. Both players make a spetacular campaigns in american hard´s, but, Simon make great campaign in Master series and Del Potro in ATP tournaments with questionable quality.
Del Potro playing bad against Cannas and Belluci, and Simon come to this game with no problems.

I think the sistematic defense of french will stop the consecutive victorys of promisse argentine.

Both players are in exceptional form but Juan of course his top of the tree with now his winning run at 21 matches in a row.Del Potro in his first two matches (Canas an Belucci) dropped the opening set but twice showed his maturity an calmness an won both matches.Simon was very impressive aswell against Acasuso winning in straight sets an will be very pleased the way he wen`t about his buisness.Simon will look to make Del Potro play one more ball with his counter-punch game but i feel Juan will over power him an carry on this winning run (I`ve watched all most every match of Del Potro in the last 2 months an i must say he`s impressed imensely,an he`s won me a few quid so im definitely sticking with Juan!)
