Monfils for me here, just had a ton on betfair at 2.5.
Have a few bets from the early games which if they come off will increase the money on gael, he has a bit more to his game than nalbandian for me and I think his defending will be key as he frustrates nalbandian to win in 4 sets.

Monfils is very good player. He has got huge power in seve, and very good forehand & backhand. I think, that hot head nalbandian won't win against Frenchman. He will be angry, cause Monfils will be defending most of Argentinians winners. In this match He must play confident tenis. He is after injury, and i think he won't play the same way in all match. 4-5 sets i will se here.

I doubt Monfils can cope with the attacking force of Nalbandian here who looks pretty focused in the last rounds without even any shorter blackouts and thats no good sign for the frenchman here.

With Nalbandian having been injured just b4 the beijing olympics, i took monfils in that game as nalby isnt fit at the best of times. Monfils ended up winning that on and i see the same result here. There is no question Nalby is a talented player but he is too inconsistant and i also think he cannot possibly be match fit since his comeback. He beat 2 battlers first 2 rounds and hardly broke a sweat. Monfils has had a reasonably good year, finally starting to fulfill his potential, he is now starting to match it with the big guns and getting some consistancy in his game. Good serve, powerful ground strokes and finally has a sense of where he should be. I am very confident this will go 4 or 5 sets and cant see Nalbandian be able to keep up, he couldwin the first set or so but i feel Monfils will come through in the end, Much fitter and becoming more consistant.

The value bet must be Monfils. He's playing very powerful tennis that requires his opponent to run like crazy to stay in the points. Nalby is hot and cold and when cold is useless. If not for injurys Monfils may have got into the Top 10. He's a class act and I think he will fancy his chances again. Nalby makes me too nervous when I've got money on him so I might tak these odds on Gael and watch the match before jumping ship to the big Argentine.

Monfils won the latest match up at the Beijing Olympics but it is worth noting Nalbandian had been out of action for a couple of months before competing there and the Argentine looks to be in much better form now. Monfils has had some real highs this year not least his semi showing at the French but also a quarter final at the Olympics where he took a set off Djokovic. Monfils is getting a lot more consistency to his game but he still falls short in a couple of areas for me, he often plays way too far behind the baseline and can also be guilty of failing to keep a good length in rallies, which is a recipe for disaster against qulity opposition. Nalbandian is one of just four players in the current playing ranks to have made the semis of all four slams, it is certainly debatable wether he will reach those heights again but the Argentine showed at the back end of last year he is still capable of toppling the very best when he is on song. Monfils has a monster serve and some solid groundies but as alluded to earlier length can be a problem as too can court position. Nalbandians strengths are his ability to change direction particularly his backhand down the line and he is widely regarded as having one of the best backhands in the game, despite his stocky stature he is a very good mover. I do think there can be a motivation issue sometimes with Nalbandian and his serve is by no means top quality but he certainly knows how to move the ball about and I expect him to overturn the recent Olympic form.

Reedition of the game that occurs in Beijing last month. In that Monfils win one fat and out of Shape Nalbandian. But i think Nalba one of most talented tennis players of actuality. His spetacular devolution, your capacity to put the ball where he wants....he is in the level od Federer, Djokovic and Nadal ( In talent, not in physical shape). two weeks ago the game was hard for Monfils, now i believe in a hard victory for argentine.
