Just got Karanusic at 3.25 at Betfair. Nishikori is over rated and was cramping at the end of his match. Being an 18yo kid he has not fully conditioned perhaps. Karanusic was good against Sweeting and at 3.25 is a good value.

This is Kei last 5 tournaments. 3 wins, 2 retirements.
Last win, before this against Monaco was in jun.
Who he beat? Patience and Falla. joke
This win against Monaco is maybe only one importnat, but Monaco's form is questionable.

Rokos stats have been good and he did the job against Sweeting and think that he can dominante in this match and that too much has been put on Nishikori, he is rated too high, people go on like he is in the top 30 when he is the 126, he beat james blake and everyone thinks he can beat anyone now, but he has flaws like any player at this rank and if he was as good as everyone talks about then he wouldnt be at 126 while Roko is at 100, so i dont get why Kei is at 1.35 and Karansuic is at $3, very interesting to me. The only reason i can see is that Kei is more expernaiced on the hard courts with more wins but Roko has less loses and looks very good on the hard courts wen plays and has adjusted very well, for me he looks the goods and at this price i cant resist.

Kei will smash the rock with an anvil. 3 Straight Sets here.

Roko just struggles on serve and he beat that no hoper and new US Challenger Circuit drop-kick Sweeting.

i reli dont think recovery from Kei's first match will be an issue at all considering the amount of time he has had to rest. I am fully expecting nishikori to ease through probs in 3 sets maybe 4 but considering the different quality of opponent he shud ease thru this one

If Kei is fit, he is one of the most damaging new youngsters on the circuit. Karanusic has yet to find the form some believe he is capable of and after Nishikori's demolishment of Monaco in fasion he should be able to dispose of a similar abilitied Karanusic. Kei will tell us how serious he is if he wins this, which I am expecting definately.

If you just take the match versus Monaco as the bedrock of your considerations i would prefer the Japanese. But if you take a look at the odds...crazy for a guy who struggled over the recent months.

Karanusic is not as good as Monaco, and given the nature of the beating that Nishikori gave out to Monaco, and the fact Nadal rates Nishikori so highly... I'm not about to oppose him against a player as scrappy as Karanusic. No thanks.

Just to add that Karunsic apparently also suffered with some problems with cramp towards the end of his match with Sweeting --- commentating on the Mardy Fish match earlier Sweeting's coach remarked that his player suffered really badly with cramp but Karunsic also had cramping problems towards the end of the match - although not too severe.

However I think that Nishikori's fitness concerns are more worrying and that Karunsic might be worth a small wager.

Nishikori had too many answers for Monaco in the first round despite some cramping towards the end of the match. A large crowd contingent got behind the Japanese star as he outgunned the Argentine breaking his serve twice in the opening two service games off the first two sets, and despite choking late in the third, got back on track in set four despite his obviously tightening legs. He won 77% of points behind his first serve and cracked countless winners off his big forehand weapon, while Karanusic survived a scary finish against Sweeting. The boys champion from a couple of years ago Sweeting lsot his nerve at the tail end of the first two sets, but triggered midway through the third as he began to dominate the Croatian from the back of the court. Karanusic got very tight, sprayed loads of unforced errors and the serve percentages dropped considerably towards the end but some rash shot selection from the big American late in the fourth cost him. Nishikori is a much better athlete, has superior firepower off his groundstrokes and has a slightly better serve than Roko, but you wonder how much his legs are going to affect him. He said after his match with Monaco; "I was glad to get through. My legs were cramped...I couldn't move". This could hinder the Japanese who has been suffering from a recent spare of injuries, while Karanusic is fully fit and will come in confident of winning a battle of the fittest. He'll need to improve his play under pressure and focus on ball placement rather than power and force, but at the value he is worth a small stab under the circumstances.

Karanusic helped along my accumulator the other day in beating Sweeting comfortably as the underdog and it's ditto here. Nishikori is a horrible little creature. Argumentative little idiot wouldn't shut up and stop going on at the umpire in his match against Monaco. I think the Croat is being underestimated again. Karanusic does eveything to a good standard, worls tirelessly aswell. I'll take Roko again and hope he performs and we see all the end of this little shite.

I wouldnt say Kei is the clear winner, but i definitely give him the advantage due to his flamboyant style of play. He likes to go for things, an is quite exciting. He also has confidence, but seems to raise his game against better players, so Karanuisic could pose a danger. Roko is talented but lacks the consistency and this match could be decided on maintaining an early lead.
