My die gets a kiss before they are embeded in the bets MDL. But they have a habit of producing a poisonous bite...like today.

The Gael bet will more than suffice and get me in front today.

Don't roll my dice, cats! lol. I hope your dice tells the very truth, so you can win enough money to visit Lëtzebuerg (that's Luxembourgish). Okie-dokie cats, i'm betting on Gael too. Here and in real life. :-)

I am rolling the dices here and lighting the dynamite.

$5,000 on Gael @ $1.25. Reckon this is as sure as it gets.

The showman Monfils should win this match. As long as he does not put the showman before the reality of playing good, sensible tennis he will.Brilliant at times, ridiculous at others-time to prove the hype is not simply that-just hype

The recent consistency of Monfils is a big factor here. He has managed to consistently beat lower ranked Players of late.I think he'll prevail in straight sets but for safety I'll go for a win. Large bet

ggheisman: Based on your selections, it would be hard to tell which is your best bet. Everyone of them is an Upset.

What's next, the Williams sisters to go packing by tonite?

Korolev started a great US Open for me with his demolition of that fool and "Grand Slam hack" Robin Soderling. Soderling practically gift wrapped the match to Korolev with a crap serving percentage of 49% albeit winning 81%. Korolev had a great day on serve and yet still neeed 2 TBs.

Gael should clean up Korolev and appears at least to like the centre Stage of GS Tennis.

Monfils is so much fun to watch, if the matches were decided on athleticism alone then he'd be a top seed...looking forward to him putting it all together -- while still capable of a hiccup any time out, he should take adavantage of this opportunity to see the third round

Monfils was one of the more impressive winners on Day One he produced 12 aces and won 85% of points behind his first serve as his forehand and all-round athleticism was too much for the one-dimensional dirt dog Cuevas. The Frenchman made just 21 unforced errors which again shows he is reeling in his talent and waiting for the right time to pounce, unlike the Monfils of a couple of years ago who would try and hit the ball harder every shot he faced. Korolev became yet another beneficiary of being opposed to Soderling in a Grand Slam, the frustrating Swede despite his 18 aces served just 49% of first balls in, took just 3 of his 14 break point chances and made far too many errors from the back in a wayward affair. The Russian was shaky on the second ball coughing up 8 double faults and winning just 46% of points, and this will be a big target for Monfils especially off his forehand wing to gain upper hand in the rallies which will be a bad thing for Evgeny who is known for his rash decision making and tendency to go for the "miracle shot". The 32nd seed is now a bit of a model of consistency and the shades of the erratic youngster have now disappeared, he'll sense a big chance with this nice draw and in a serve-dominated affair you'd expect the superior baseline brilliance of the Frenchman to get him over the line against an opponent whom has never progressed past the second round of a Grand Slam in his 9 career starts.

Nightmare matchup for Korolev here. Monfils looked very comfortable in his victory against Cuevas and I think he could do some serious damage in the next week.

The difference between Monfils and Soderling is that monfils performs in GS. He will account for the heavy hitting russain with ease provided his 1st Serves are on fire. Korolev offers too many chances on serve for my liking and probably more a Best of 3 type player. Has limited success in GS tennis anyway - kinda like Robin Soderling.
