Kohlschreiber took care of Horna very comfirtably and looks like he is back into better form of late. Troiki defeated some player in the first round but im not too sure of his condition given his injury earlier in Washington. So in a five set match id go for Phillip on a bookmaker that pays the winner of the first set, if the other losing player retires (hopefully that would be Troiki!). I'm combining this with Monfils at 1.30. Good luck :)....

Some definite value on Troicki here, he's in good form and PK is too unreliable

PK here for me, Troicki is a decent player but i just feel Kohly will be too much for him during the exchanges, that is if PK brings his game with him... Im willing to take the plunge... PK in 4

There will be two Germans in round 3 - I can promise you, SimonP! Kohli and Haas are on a mission and Kohlschreiber will win this convincingly.

Kohlschreiber is a favourite here. In his best performance he probably will win quite easy. But I think his form at the moment is questionable. I was little afraid about Troicki health but after easy 3:0 win against Ball I think he is healthy like a fish (not a player ;). Anyway I think that 1 German in 3rd round (Haas will win) is far enought. A big suprise here for all people who put a stake on Kohli

Kohlschreiber has has a pretty good year but still seems to throw in a few average losses (kudryavsev. On his best form i would oly marginly put him ahead of the lowly ranked Troicki who is a couple of years Kohlschreibers junior and i think will end up being as good if not better in time. Troicki has had a pretty good year beating some high ranked players and testing others. This will be a tricky match that i think may go the distance. Troicki for me!

Kohli is one of the most complete players on tour. If he could play his best tennis a bit more constantly he would be on the way into the top10. And I feel he's kind of a man on a mission this week - he'll just have too much to offer for Troicki. Kohli in 3 or 4 sets!

i used the ranking graph kindly provided above using the 'all time' filter to make my selection for this tussle...i made my decision by meditating on the lines for a good while, after a while a number of interesting abstractions began to come to mind (wink wink nudge nudge ie my tip is from heaven)...the abstractions which came to me through a vision were as follows: PK is flatlining; Troicki is going down (this seems bad i know - but wait up - look at that graph more closely - look at the two white lines for the ranks of 50 and 100, then the white line above for 150 and then also the black line for 0 - now look at the shape they make and you will see that it looks suspiciously like a DRAW - thats right ladies and gents troicki is progressing down the draw while pk is going nowhere!! Look also at the three alpha numerics along the bottom Q1-08, Q2-08, Q3-08 - so the number 8 appears 3 times - well it just so happens that Troicki was born in 1983!!Some other basic observations that most amateur psychics would be able to make out include: T's line is 'on top' of pk's; pk's line is closely intertwined with the symbolic net chord (the white line extending from the rank 50), this is a clear pointer toward a possible glut of unforced errors by him, and last of all if you look at the line for t and the one for k together as though they were a sketch, one can clearly see that it is a sketch of a snake eating something....and guess what...the initials vt are also the initials for the words VENOMOUS TAIPAN...and pk is german which just happens to be synonomous with dead meat eg sausages, snitzels...

Troicki proved there was no issues with his back with an easy first-round win over American-born Aussie Carsten Ball, after a tense first set breaker the Serbian lost just one further game as he produced a stunning display of baseline hitting committing just 19 unforced errors in the 1hr 40min battle. He also won 87% of points on the first serve, a statistic he'll need to go close to emulating here if he's to quell the superior groundstrokes of Kohlschreiber. The German kicked off his campaign in style also, dictating play to claycourter Luis Horna winning a similarly high amount behind the first delivery. Kohly did though manage just 47% of first balls in which he'll be looking to improve on here, having said that just 9 unforced errors for the entire match suggests that his attacking game is 'on' for this Open. A coveted spot in the Top 20 is up for grabs for Phillip this fortnight, and recent wins on fast terrains against the likes of Soderling (2), Blake, Haas, Roddick, Korolev and Cilic would suggest he enjoys opposing the powerful servers and aggressive baseliners. Troicki is a little more measured, but he isn't going to beat Kohly by defending from the back of the court and I get the feeling the superior all-roundedness of the 25th seed will eventually win the day especially considering this is the easiest Grand Slam draw he has received sine last year's Wimby.

Troicki is a tricky player to play against, but in this kind of mood, kohls retruning skills as well as court coverage should allow him to win a fair number of balls he gets back into play. This could be a rejuvenation period for Kohl and expect him to fight tooth and nail to claw his way to the next round

kohli seems to be 100% fit again after a torn muscle fibre that detained him from playing at the olympics. in this condition he won't have too much trouble with troicki. kohli in straight sets!
