@Destroyer - I'll keep an eye on them. erm.. 3 legger.. I think we can beat Aston Villa at 11/8. Were 2/2 so far (and don't forget Villa lost to Stoke! which I predicted at 4/1 =P). I won't let that drop lol. and Srsenal should beat Newcastle after losing to Fulham in the derby they'll be looking to put a show on for the fans at home. So Arsenal (4/9), Liverpool (11/8) and M'Borough (8/13). Nice treble.

@carson, na i didnt get on it snooker not my thing, but will have a look at Borough - any others to multi up with for a 2 or 3 legger perhaps?

If you want any AFL or NRL tips this week here goes:

Fremantle +18.5 vs a Collingwood team without Didak, H Shaw, Burns and Wakelin. Presty is plonked in defense for his first game of the entire year, and the big ground and a trip over to Perth could find them out.

North over 40 against Port - Port are depleted by injuries and play the MCG poor, North need to win to cement a top 4 spot and with Grant's 300th they never lose the milestone games.

Saints over 40 against Bombers, the Saints need to make up about 4% to eclipse Adelaide for a home final and are playing a Bombers team that even before this week have probably a 60% full strength side, now they've lost their centre half forward McPhee who they go through a lot and also McVeigh who is their rock in defense. Saints will kick about 20 goals with the big boys down forward and this looks money for jam at 1/1.

Other winners Geelong, Hawthorn, Brisbane, Richmond and Adelaide.

NRL there looks to be two big certainties in Broncos to bt Bulldogs and Manly to topple the Gold Coast, but if you want some value Newcastle with a points headstart against Melbourne Storm and Parra to get the cake at $2.80 at St George if they are firing is also worth a stab.

@Destroyer - Yeah I suppose with Berdych there's always a chance no matter who it is and was probably worth a dig at 10/1. Did you get on my Snooker treble? Higgins (4/9), Maguire (4/11) and Allen (5/6) all won. Middlesbrough will beat Stoke on Saturday aswell Destroyer - don't miss that one!

@carson - thanks for the reminder, but I wasn't far off the mark, that is of course if Berdych played that match like he played against Querrey (then Smeets would have won)...:p

Not sure Scoobs, but the closest result in a Grand Slam like that was at the Australian Open this year (if memory serves) where Berdych smacked Dutch Aussie Robert Smeets (who Destroyer tipped :) dropping just 1 game. Think it was 6-0 6-0 6-1 or similar anyway.

this is looking like a massacre. b365 just removed their odds of 4/7 on nadal not to have his serve broken. has anyone ever won 6-0 6-0 6-0 at the US open?

Yeah right.Value bet.Anyone paying $16.00 to win is great value. He could be $85.00 to win that would be even greater value, but it does'nt count for Jack if the guy can,t win.Put simply,De Heart is 24 years old & 256 in the world. There is a reason for that.Hey guru & geish-he is playing Rafa Nadal not Johnny Nadal.Don't even post such crap, tongue in cheek or not.Too big,too strong, too good-Rafa that is.Only huge because gargantuan is not an option

After the match with an admirable Phau, I think Rafa will be more careful , he will push the acceleration in the beggining of the match, he doesn't want any more bad emotions... As far as I am concerned he'll has an easier match than the first one! Rafa is as sharp as a tack, we know this thing!

With nadal having an easy route to the quarters he's a dream come true to bet on for straight set victories in the early rounds. Ryler may have the crowd backing him but his ranking says it all.

He will be ever more psyched and geared up after being taken to two tie breakers in his first match.

From the moment he sprayed his first shot wide, you could tell Rafa wasn't at his blistering best and was forced to work for nearly 3 hours and clinch two tiebreak sets against a spirited performance from qualifier Bjorn Phau. It was probably the hard match that the Spaniard needed, and don't forget that in the French he had similar struggles agaisnt Bellucci first up and at Wimbledon was slow to start against Gulbis in R2 and we know what happened in the end on both occasions. He still managed to keep the unforced errors lower than his opponent, and a 74% success rate behind the first ball that landed in 73% of the time is still worthy of a mention. Ryler de Heart has probably expended most of his energy in the first few days - after qualifying with marathon victories over Jun and Hartfield, the local boy outlasted Olivier Rochus in a see-sawing 5-set thriller. He delivered 19 aces, won 74% behind the first ball and converted 4 of his inferior 11 break chances, though the chances he'll get those same look-ins are zero-to-none. He is ultra consistent from the back of the court, but someone of Nadal's brilliance will simply eat him up with power and angles from the back of the court and his glory run will most certainly come to an end here.

Nadal was not at his best yesterday but when your not playing your best an still win that will give Rafa more confidence it`s not about the performance i don`t think this early on it`s just about the win an in 3 sets so im happy but credit where credit due Pauh played sme solid tennis an looked a real fighter out on court.De Heart will need Heart definitely because he has an up hill task.Straight sets but no value
