Azarenka has the power to blow Stosur away if she is turned on upstairs. Good depth on her groundstrokes coupled with good speed should prove too much for the Aussie.

stosur has been in pretty good from of late and is now well adjusted to hard courts. VA has not played much lately and will be up to her ears. SS by an inch

Second serve is going to be a problem for Stosur, it will be winning her under 50% and she has a tendency over the past two weeks to serve at below 50% first serves in which is where Azarenka will get a chance to dominate. The other factor is that Stosur still got broken twice to a girl ranked 200 in two tight sets. I think Azarenka has a better second serve, equally good first serve and better ground strokes. Stosur is a good top 25-50 ranked player and won't go better than that so if Azarenka plays a good game which is suggested by her winning the Kennedy exhibition tournament last week and a solid first round win she should go on and win this in two competitive sets.

Even if the "Predicted chance" above says 0-0% for the both of them, I will take the risk and pick out one winner. And that will be Miss Victoria.

Stosur is in good form and hits the ball as hard as Azarenka but the youngster definitely has the edge on the hard stuff as catscatch pointed out. The odds are a bit skinny though so only a small bet for me.

I will go with Azarenko. This surface suits her power groundstrokes and the consistent bounce helps her timing unlike at Wimbledon where she was unfortunate to lose to Petrova.

Tip: The difference in Match Rating between two players represents the average number of service games that separate them in a set of tennis as predicted by the Insight Model. Lower Rating Handle values indicate that the predicted rating is more speculative and that the player’s ‘true’ form may be significantly different from the models statistical prediction.
