After watching the match I noticed a few things. Chela has built a reputable clay court reputation by being able to grind his opponents down from the baseline. While the first set was a bit all over the place - it was only until the 5th game where Berlocq held his serve (Chela did not hold serve at all), Berlocq played intelligently. Watched the match vs Chela from 5:3 for Chela in the second set and wasn't impressed by Berlocq at all - apart from some exquisite volleys it was mostly sad moon-balling and hoping Chela would miss. The only time he looked dominant was when he was coming forward, and that doesn't sound like a wining long-term receipt on clay.
